Golden Crocodile Philodendron:

Philodendron Golden Crocodile is a mutation of the hybrid "Ring of Fire" Philodendron, exhibiting a stable lime-yellow hue. Its new foliage presents in shades of orange to pink, which darken to a lime-yellow with maturity. Leaves are elongated and pinnate, featuring awesome looking serrated teeth along the edges.

Since the Golden Crocodile is a rare houseplant you can't get at big box stores, it's one of the most sought after houseplants by plant lovers everywhere!

Here is a care guide for the Golden Crocodile Philodendron:

Light:

Philodendron Golden Crocodile (particularly variegated varieties) require more sunlight for photosynthesis, given the lack of chlorophyll.

An east-facing window should be utilized for optimal conditions, whereas a south- or west-facing window can be adequate if a sheer curtain is employed to filter the light.

Water:

As a general guideline, water when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry to the touch or when a moisture meter registers 3-4. Using a moisture meter is strongly encouraged, as it offers a better view of the soil's deeper moisture levels with keeping soil out from under your nails.

Humidity:

For optimal leaf texture and perky foliage, maintain relative humidity levels near 40% or above for your Philodendron Golden Crocodile.

Temperature:

The Golden Crocodile Philodendron grows optimally in temperatures ranging from 65-85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Soil & Growing Medium:

For optimal plant growth, pot your Philodendron Golden Crocodile in a soil blend that is rich in organic matter but also well-aerated, allowing for quick drainage. The soil pH should have a neutral level of 5.5-7. As epiphytes, these plants need an abundance of air circulation around the roots since in nature they grow without soil.

Fertilizer:

Provide your Philodendron Golden Crocodile with consistent fertilizer applications during the growing season. A combination of 5-2-3 Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium is beneficial to sustain healthy leaves and strong root development.
