When Your Plant Arrives
Your Monstera Devil Monster has already developed a healthy, established root system and is growing exactly where it wants to be.
One of the biggest mistakes collectors make is repotting too soon.
Leave your plant in its original grow pot for at least 3 months after it arrives. Repotting immediately after shipping can interrupt root development, slow growth, and cause unnecessary transplant shock. Giving your plant time to continue growing in the container it already loves will reward you with a stronger, healthier plant.
Simply remove it from the box, place it in bright, indirect light, and allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. The less you disturb the roots during those first few months, the better your plant will perform.

Bright, indirect light will produce the strongest growth and help maintain beautiful variegation. A few hours of gentle morning sun is beneficial, but avoid prolonged harsh afternoon sun.
Water
Water thoroughly when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. Monsteras prefer a thorough watering followed by a period where the potting mix can partially dry.
Humidity
Average household humidity is perfectly suitable, although 50–70% humidity encourages larger leaves and more vigorous growth.
Temperature
Maintain temperatures between 65–85°F and protect from cold drafts.
Support
As your Devil Monster matures, providing a moss pole or sturdy support encourages larger foliage and more dramatic fenestrations.
Fertilizer
Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced houseplant fertilizer at half strength.
